T3, edificio residenziale
T3, residential building

The building is located in an urban area just outside the old center of Santo Stefano al Mare, close to the ancient railway now turned into a coastal park. Last remnant of the old floral production, the plot is inside an increasingly urbanised site. A transition area between the intensive building of the 1970s - 1980s and the single-family houses close to the historical center.
The new building, that consists of seven residential units, takes advantage of the terrain morphology spreading over three levels one of which is hypogeum.
The architectural composition is designed to relate to the surrounding landscape. On the west side, near the highest buildings, it spreads over three levels, while on the east side, close to the single-family houses, the old station and its depot, it is perceived as a two-storey house.
What emerges is a compact, essential volume, where the lightness of the facade overlooking the sea, with wide windows, contrasts with the massive side walls emphasized by an orderly vertical sequence of windows.
